Gentlemen:
On July 1, 1998 we visually observed the excavatiQse of hin at Lot sob ervation wasltos erify that Sthe soil

conditions encountered in the Ncoavation are generally consistent with those outlined in the soils
to be a summary of the soils report and does -not -meet the disclosure requirements of Colorado Senate
Bill 13, 6-6.5-101.
The subsurface conditions exposed in the excavation appeared to be generally consistent with those
described in the above referenced soils report, which recommends a drilled pier and grade beam
foundation system for these subsurface condition. No water was encountered to a depth of
approximately seven (7) feet.
We recommend that damp -proofing be installed at the foundation walls for all below grade, habitable
living area per 1991 UBC Section 2915.
Due to the measured depth of bedrock below footing elevation, it is our opinion that an exterior
perimeter drain is required for this structure.
