In reference to: Permit 981249
I would like to request an extension to my current building permit number 981249 for
422 West Myrtle Street. In the last six months, I have been unable to work on my
project due to my heavy workload managing our IT Year 2000 readiness at Hewlett-
Packard, business travel, and a death in my family. I have now completed the major
portion of our Year 2000 readiness and will be able to devote a considerable amount
of time and resource to my home renovation project. I will not be able to work on the
project in late December and early January due to Y2K, but expect to get a lot of
progress made before then.
My neighborhood is an important part of my life and that is why I continue to invest in
my immediate neighborhood. I know that I am way behind on the schedule that I set
for myself and that I communicated to my neighbors. I have discussed this situation
with my neighbors and reassured them of my commitment. I have even given a
break in rent to my new next -door neighbors for having to deal with my project's
mess, noise, and general appearance.
I appreciate your consideration in helping my fulfill my renovation dreams on my
family home and doing- the work- myself. Rest assured that my Mother and- Father
ride me pretty hard on completing the project in a timely manner since it was their
house originally and they want the landscape back.
