The City of Fort Collins will consider S K Street to be uninhabited until such time that repairs are made and water service is restored. Since you are helping your mother, you will be required to maintain the property, that is: keeping the weeds and grasses mowed, keeping the building secured against vagrants or unlawful entry. At this time I am nqLrevoking the Certificate of Occupancy, but rather I am suspending the occupancy until such time that the water service is repaired. The owner of the house is my mother Julia M. LeJeune and my husband Mike and myself are helping her with this rental. The water main in the driveway broke on Monday night (Oct. 29). We gave notice to Sandy Sandoval and Stacie Farmer to vacate the home on Tuesday night (Oct. 30) after we had it verified that it was indeed the water main in the driveway, not the main in the street and that we were responsible for repairs. Stacie and Sandy had spoken with the neighbors west of them and they had agreed to run a garden hose from their outside faucet to the rental outside faucet so water would still be coming in. That setup worked, so we had given them until November 10 to vacate hoping that they would leave ASAP. The neighbors, Sandy and Stacie then agreed between themselves to not use the water setup that they had with the garden hose. Once we can get them to vacate, we will cease using this house as a rental until the repairs can be made. Please give me a call if you have any questions.
