As requested, during the period November 11 through November 24, 2000, Earth
Engineering Consultants, Inc. (EEC) personnel provided construction observation and
testing services for the referenced project. Those services were provided on a part-time,
on -call basis and included observation of masonry wall reinforced steel and masonry
grout placed within the building walls. Results of the observation and testing completed
by EEC personnel during the referenced time period are provided with this report.
During the referenced period, EEC personnel observed reinforcing steel placement for the
masonry walls at the referenced building. Based on observations made in the field, it is
our opinion the reinforcing steel was placed as described in the project plans and
specifications.
During the referenced period, EEC personnel observed and tested masonry grout
delivered to the site for placement. Field tests performed on the plastic grout included
slump and grout temperature. The ambient air temperature at the time of placement was
also recorded. Test cylinders were cast for laboratory coring and compressive strength
testing. Results of the field and laboratory tests are being provided in separate reports.
