Dear Ms. Schuett:
On November 11, 1984 I inspected the basement apartment located at 4122
East Mulberry and observed the following violation of the City of Fort
Collins Housing Code:
1) The stairs into the apartment did not have a guardrail or
handrail on the open side as required.
2 ) There were no egress - windows i n the- sl eep i-Ing room, nor were
there any smoke detectors installed as a substitute.
3) The electrical outlet on the range was used to provide pow-
er to the refridgerator. Since the range was supplied by
a circuit with no separate grounded conductor this is a vio-
lation of the requirement for grounded outlets in the area of
the kitchen sink.
