Our firm has made a structural review of the interior framing and
foundation for House Plan 803, currently be constructed in the above -
referenced subdivision. The purpose of this review is to verify the
structural integrity of the steel beam and the spread footings sup-
porting this beam. It is our understanding that two (2) interior
supports with three (3) approximately equal spans of 13'0" will be used
rather than three (3) interior supports at equal spans of 9'8".
Our analyses indicates that the W 8 x 10 steel beam will not be over-
stressed supporting a floor load over a span of approximately 13'0".
Our analyses also indicates that spread footings (square pads) of
twenty-four (24) inches by twenty-four (24) inches by ten (10) inches
should be used to support these interior columns.
