As per your request to write a letter to the City of Fort
Collins regarding the monolithic slab and footings poured for the
new garage at 1900 Laporte Ave., also known as Lot 3, Schmidtberger
Minor Subdivision, Based on the site visit and inspection performed
on July 11, 1994 the monolithic slab was built according to the
City of Fort Collins specification. The garage outside dimensions
are 24x24 feet. Two # 4 steel rebars are used at the top and bottom
of an 18" deep x 12" wide monolithic concrete footings, poured
together with 4" slab on 4" gravel with 8'x8' # 4 mesh. The grade
around the new foundation is relatively flat, a positive grade
should be established to drain water away from the monolithic slab.
