At the October 29, 1987, Building Review Board hearing involving your case
above, the Board found that the conditions related to electrical services
outlined in the notice dated August 13, 1987, other than the capacity of
the services themselves, were related to life safety and must be repaired.
Further, the Board rendered a decision postponing service upgrades to 50
amps for 1 year.
On November 4, 1987, Dan Young, Inspector Supervisor, reinspected the park
and determined that most of the violations cited in the original notice
have not yet been repaired. Those remaining violations are detailed by
unit as follows:
Unit 9 -
a) The 50 amp supply cord is underprotected with a 60 amp fuse. The
cord size must be increased to match the fuse or the fuse must be
reduced to 50 amps.
b) The flexible connector to the disconnect box is damaged and must be
repaired.
Unit 10 -
The supply cord is improperly draped over the mobile home and is under-
sized for the 50 amp fuse. The cord must be replaced with a 50-amp
cord and be properly installed, not exceeding 36-1/2 feet in overall
length.
Unit 13 -
The No. 12/2 feeder cable supplying the 50-amp service receptacle is
undersized and has no grounding conductor. The cable must be replaced
with properly sized and grounded cable.
