Fort Collins, et al - 068 - OrderCase Number:1:22-cv-01983-SKC Filer: Document Number:68(No document attached) Docket Text: ORDER In light of the Defendants' pending Motions to Dismiss, Dkts. [22] and [41], and the recent representation that Plaintiff Deleon may have agreed to dismiss his claims, the Court believes the parties would benefit from the Court's decision on the Motions to Dismiss when planning whether or not to file motions for summary judgment and to allowing more time to meaningfully confer regarding Plaintiff DeLeon's claims and to effectuate any dismissal by Plaintiff DeLeon. The Court thus sua sponte RESETS the dispositive motions deadline to 4/4/2024. The combined final pretrial and trial preparation conference set for 3/21/2024 are VACATED and will be reset after all dispositive motions have been ruled on. The Court further DENIES WITHOUT PREJUDICE [67] Unopposed Motion for Leave to File Motion for Summary Judgment in Excess of 20 Pages (Motion), in light of the Court's resetting the dispositive motion deadline. Should one of the parties seek to renew a motion seeking leave to file a summary judgment motion with excess pages, the party should set forth, with greater particularity than was done in the Motion, why the party believes that 20 pages is insufficient, particularly in light of the fact that the required Statement of Undisputed Material Facts is not counted against the 20 page limit. The parties are also reminded that even though they may agree among themselves about additional pages, the page limit is the Court's page limit. The parties are further encouraged to continue conferring and to resolve any further issues so that any summary judgment motion is as narrowly tailored as possible. SO ORDERED by U.S. District Judge S. Kato Crews on 2/8/2024.
