SpA.jCT: Human Bean Coffee Shop Transportation Study -.Response to
staff comments regarding long range access to North
College .avenue (File: 0480ME02)
This memorandm responds to a comment from Marc Virata, Fort
colli 45 ,LvAgineEaring Department, regarding the long range access to
North College Avenue. In the '"Human Sean Coffee Shop Transportation
study," October 2004, reference is made that a raised median will be
built in North College Ave>zue that will restrict access to the Human
Bean site to right"i.n/right-out. This conclusion was reached by
reviewing the "08207/SH14 Access Management Report," April 4, 2000,.
Figure 3-17. This drawing shows a '"break-" in the line along the west
side of No*th College Avenue that coincides with the location of the.
access to the human Bean site. City staff indicated that this
break" did not mean that there would be right-in/right-out access to
this property. Therefore, it is acknowledged that access to this
site would be via Mason street, which would serve this property at
the north portion of the site. Mason Street would connect to Alpine
street (_right-in/right-out at North College Avenue) and Binon-vine
realigned) (s3gna2ized intersection). The Human Bean site may also
connect to Woodlawn Drive, to the south through private property. The
North College/Woodlawn intersection is designated as a right
in/right-out/left-in in the access control plan. There would not be
direct site access from North College Avenue according to the access
control plan.
