The Fort Collins Housing Authority is requesting to vacate the Fossil Boulevard right-of-way
currently included in the original Redtail Plat on Tract H, G, Lots 13 through 19 and portions of
Fossil Boulevard. The Fossil Boulevard right-of-way was previously dedicated with the 2006
Redtail Plat. As part of the FCHA Final Development Plan and replat for Redtail Second Filing
for the Redtail Ponds Permanent Supportive Housing Development, the 5l' right-of-way and
cul-de-sac dedicated for Fossil Boulevard needs to be vacated. The road was never constructed,
and it was intended to accommodate a different development plan that included townhome style
development. The right-of-way is not needed for safety or connectivity. The Redtail Ponds
Permanent Supportive Housing development includes a single 4-story building with 60 units.
Instead of a public street through the middle of the property, a 20' wide emergency access
easement will be dedicated as shown on the new plat. Public access will be from the east of the
existing Fossil Boulevard, Conejos Road intersection.
Please accept this request to vacate the 51' wide right-of-way for the unbuilt section of Fossil
Boulevard as shown in Redtail Second Filing. Please feel free to contact me with any questions
