3 Prior and during construction, barriers shall be erected around all protected existing trees with such barriers to be of orange

described in the tree protection chart of the Fort Collins land use code section 3.2.1.
7 Construction shall be performed in a manner to not damage any existing tree. Clearance pruning of any tree on site shall only
be by a Fort Collins licensed arborist following City of Fort Collins tree management standards under the direction of the City

8. Equipment access/drives shall be positioned to minimize travel over the root system of any existing tree Equipment drive
locations over the root system of any significant tree shall be approved by the City Forester with requirements to protect the
soil from being compacted.
9. Large property areas containing protected trees and separated from construction or land clearing areas, road
rights -of -way and utility easements may be "ribboned off," rather than erecting protective fencing around each tree
as indicated above. This may be accomplished by placing metal t-post stakes a maximum of fifty (50) feet apart
and tying ribbon or rope from stake -to -stake along the outside perimeters of such areas being cleared.
