Additionally, the objective of this summary intends to cover foreseeable aspects associated with storage of form equipment, tools, composting and all other miscellaneous features of the operation. • The temporary containment and storage of manure produced through farm operations shall be constructed of concrete pad and bucking wall. A permanent roof with gutter and downspout shall be constructed to protect the pile from rain and storm water runoff. The manure pile shall not exceed 6 feet in height. The structure shall remain positioned downwind from neighboring residences to the extent reasonably feasible and visually screened from public view through the use of landscaping. Windbreaks including shrubs and trees shall be incorporated to promote dust suppression. • The manure storage area is located at least 100 feet from potable water sources, surface water bodies and areas of ecological vdue and is situated at least 200 feet away from residences. A 2-4% grade surrounding the manure pile and structure shall be maintained to ensure diversion of surface water runoff and aid in reducing soil erosion. A grassy or vegetated filter strip shall surround the manure storage area to prevent leochate from entering waterways. • Regular removal of manure and bedding from stables and paddocks shall be facilitated to aid in nuisance and pest prevention. • Manure handling tools and farm equipment shall be stored in the adjacent barn structure and protected from the view of public streets when not in use. • Stored manure material produced through farm operations shall be utilized as a source for composting. The pile shall remain dean and free of any garbage debris and shall be protected from possible nutrient loss to ensure product quality. Hauling of manure off —site to a qualified composting facility shall be completed on a regular basis as necessary so that the odor impact shall be mitigated to the maximum extent feasible. Bucking Horse Stable Manure Management Plan The objective of the following list is in reference to the Bucking Horse Stable and aims to address the management of the manure produced by a small number of boarded horses by minimizing its potential negative environmental impacts on water, health and air quality and to maximize beneficial uses as a soil amendment to promote soil health and plant growth. • The temporary containment and storage of manure produced through farm operations shall be constructed of concrete pad and bucking wall.
