PLANT NOTES
1. Landscape materials shall be in accordance with AAN specifications for Number One Grade.
2. Shrub beds and trees to be irrigated with an automatic drip (trickle) irrigation system.
3. Trees to be balled and burlapped, unless otherwise noted.
4. Shrub and ornamental grass beds shall be mulched with a 3" depth layer shredded cedar mulch.
5. A Free permit must be obtained from the City Forester before any trees or shrubs as noted on this plan are planted,
pruned, or removed in the public Right of Way.
6. Landscaping shall be installed and maintained by the property owner.
7. Soil in landscape areas shall be amended with 3 cy/1,000 sf, Class 1 organic amendment.
8. The following separations shall be provided between trees/shrubs and utilities:
- 40 feet between canopy trees and street lights
- 15 feet between ornamental trees and streetlights
- 10 feet between trees and public water and sanitary and storm sewer lines
- 4 feet between shrubs and public water and sanitary and storm sewer lines
- 4 feet between trees and gas lines
9. Field locate utilities prior to planting.
10. To the maximum extent feasible, topsoil that is removed during construction activity shall be
conserved for later use on areas requireing revegetation and landscaping.
11. Where necessary, existing trees shall be pruned to City Forester medium prune standards.
12. The developer shall contact the City Forester to inspect all street tree plantings at completion. All trees
need to have been installed as shown on the landscape plan.
13. Areas disturbed by construction shall be graded smooth and reseeded with dryland seed mix to match
adjacent turf areas.
