MEMORANDUM
DATE: November 12, 1973
TO: , The Honorable Mayor and City Council
FROM: Robert L. Brunton, City Manager
RE: Request from Rocky Mountain High School to name the street on the east
side of the School.
The City recently received a letter from students, representatives, and ad-
ministrative personnel from Rocky Mountain High school to consider the naming
of "No -Name" Street on the east side of the School. Thev recommend that this
street be changed to 'Rocky Mountain Way,"
There is a small stretch of street off Shields which serves only Rocky Mountain
High School, Some confusion is created because the extension of this street
east of Shields into Wood Brothers Subdivision is called Morsman Drive.
Morsman Drive has no homes on it and separates further east into two other
streets. Therefore, it would be better to call the entire L-shaped piece
north and east of the School Rocky Mountain Way. We could ask Wood Brothers
to change their subdivision plat to rename the other stretch Rocky Mountain
Way also.
Recommendation: The Administration recommends that the Council designate the
af0re_m_e_nFi_0_n_e'U street as Rocky Mountain Way.
