Overland Trail is considered an arterial. Due to changes in standards and existing improvements on the
east side of the road. the widening of Overland Trail will occur to the west.
At this time 65 feet of right-of-way will be required on the west side of the road (from section line) and 57.5
feet of right-of-way will be required on the east side of the road (from section line) where obtainable.
The road section is our arterial section, with a 19 foot center median. There is currently been no design of
this portion of the roadway as the design of a roadway typically occurs with development or a city capital
project. Therefore no grades or elevations have been established for this portion of the road.

I am a project manager for the City Utilities - Water division. I have a project getting close to final design
with construction planned for Fall 1999. The project is the Rodeo Detention Facility, located just west of
Overland Trail at the CSU Durrell Rodeo arena ( Ross Dr).
The plan is to use the existing culvert below Overland due to the hydrologic limitations downstream. To
accurately model this facility I need to find out some information about future plans for Overland Trail
improvements. Currently, my main points of interest are road section, elevation changes, and proposed
direction of widening.
Could you help me get some feedback on these issues as soon as possible. Or could you forward this
someone who would be able to assist
If there are any questions or comments please do not hesitate to call me at 221-6235.
Thanks
Chris Cece
