6. EDGING BETWEEN TURF AND SHRUBS SHALL BE 1/8" X 4" ROLLED STEEL EDGING. EDGING SHALL BE PINNED

10. INCORPORATE BONE MEAL AT A RATE OF 50 LB./1,000 SF INTO ALL PERENNIAL AND ORNAMENTAL GRASS BEDS.
11. QUANTITIES PROVIDED IN PLANT SCHEDULE ARE FOR IMFORMATION ONLY. LANDSCAPE CONTRACTOR
SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PROVIDING QUANTITIES SHOWN ON PLAN.
12. THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS SHALL APPLY TO OBJECTS THAT ARE LOCATED WITHIN A
SIGHT DISTANCE EASEMENT:
STRUCTURES AND LANDSCAPING WITHIN THE EASEMENT SHALL NOT EXCEED 24 INCHES IN HEIGHT
WITH THE FOLLOWING EXCEPTIONS:
— FENCES UP TO 42 INCHES IN HEIGHT MAY BE ALLOWED AS LONG AS THEY DO NOT OBSTRUCT
THE LINE OF SIGHT FOR MOTORISTS.
— DECIDUOUS TREES MAY BE ALLOWED AS LONG AS THEY DO NOT OBSTRUCT THE LINE OF SIGHT
FOR MOTORISTS.
13. A FREE PERMIT MUST BE OBTAINED FROM THE CITY FORESTER BEFORE ANY TREES OR SHRUBS
AS NOTED ON THIS PLAN ARE PLANTED, PRUNED OR REMOVED IN THE PUBLIC RIGHT—OF—WAY.
14. FIELD LOCATE ALL UTILITIES PRIOR TO PLANTING.
15. AVOID CUTTING SURFACE ROOTS WHEREVER POSSIBLE. SIDEWALKS AND PAVING LEVELS
SHOULD BE CONTOURED SUFFICIENTLY TO AVOID SUCH CUTTINGS.
16. ROOT CUTS FROM EXCAVATION SHOULD BE DONE RAPIDLY. SMOOTH FLUSH CUTS
SHOULD BE MADE. BACKFILL BEFORE THE ROOTS HAVE A CHANCE TO DRY OUT AND WATER
THE TREE IMMEDIATELY.
17, CONTRACTOR SHALL PROTECT ALL EXISTING TREES FROM DAMAGE DURING CONSTRUCTION.
WHERE TREE TRUNKS ARE APT TO BE DAMAGED, THEY SHOULD BE PROTECTED WITH METAL POSTS
AND A SNOW FENCE.
18. HEAVY EQUIPMENT SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO COMPACT OVER THE SOIL OVER THE ROOT
ZONE OF EXISTING TREES, TREE PROTECTION SHALL BE PROVIDED A MINIMUM DISTANCE FROM
TREE TRUNK OF ONE FOOT PER EACH CALIPER INCH OF TRUNK DIAMETER. NO DISTURBANCE
SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO OCCUR IN THESE AREAS,
