— Where the roadway cross section is /n FILL, excoval/on for box culverts shall be done
as follows:
1. Embankment shall be built up to one foot above the bottom of the box culvert.
2. The Irench shall then be excavated to occommodote construction of the box culvert
Excovatlon and BacIrA/l patterns different from those indicated on these sheets will
be shown elsewhere on the Plans.
Excavat/on for structure installation shall be classified as Structure EXCOVafVn"unless
otherwise shown on fhe Plans.
Finished Surface Structure footings which are located in rock shall be poured out to undisturbed rock
or without forming.
