Per your request, we have completed the pavement design for the
alley located at the Redwood Village Shopping Center in Fort Collins,
Colorado. The design is based on a Hveem value of less than five (5),
per Kruback Engineering Associates Report No. 85-4494-A dated May 31,
1985. Mr. Francis Todey of the City of Fort Collins Engineering De-
partment supplied the design Daily Traffic Number (DTN) of 65. Based
on these parameters, the following pavement thicknesses are recommend-
ed.

RE: . . New Beginnings, pipe protection
Dear Bob:
At your request we have conducted resistivity testing of the New Be-
ginnings Project site for use in determining the protection requirements
for buried cast iron or ductile iron pipe. The results of the tests are
as follows:
Resistivity,
Location Probe Spacing, Ft. ohm - cm
TH-2 4 1516
12 2573
Based on the resistivity test results we recommend the buried pipe be
bedded and surrounded with six inches (6") of sand backfill. No plastic
sleeve is required around the pipe but is recommended for all applications
by some pipe manufacturers to promote longer life of the pipe.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call.
