HomeMy WebLinkAboutMOUNTAIN GYMNASTICS PUD - Filed GC-GENERAL CORRESPONDENCE - 2004-08-17CITY OF FORT COLLINS PARKS 8 RECREATION DT: March 20, 1985 TO: Ron Mills, Right -of -Way Agent FM: Randy Balok, Superintendent of Planning and Open Space RE: Land Donation I have reviewed the proposed land donation at Mountain Gymnastics PUD which is adjacent to Spring Park. The Parks and Recreation Department would be happy to accept the donation of the 1.8 acres adjacent and north of the Spring Park boundary. We envision keeping this property in its present condition, without any major development on this site. Eventually we may reroute the Spring Creek Trail from the Park to Stuart Street across this area, but the time for this to happen is not scheduled. In reviewing a previous plan for the development of Mountain Gymnastics, it seemed that the storm drainage generated was directed toward Spring Creek. To avoid erosion across this area and the unsightly affects of it, we wound require that the drainage be conducted underground or toward Stuart Street. Any other development requirements associated with the Mountain Gymnastics PUD would be the responsibility of the developers, specifically any streets, sidewalk, curb and gutter, utility or drainage improvements, or other requirements. As part of the PUD approval process, it would be logical that the 1.8-acre area should be platted as "Park Site." Would you please convey these thoughts to your contact in this development.
