RE: Listallation of PVC Sewer Pipe
We have discussed the installation of some PVC sewer pipe
on an experimental basis wit" the Jofzns-Manville Company. What
we are proposing is that several individual sections be installed
in new develepments. Lacn test section would be one run of pipe
between manholes, or approximately 400 feet in each location.
we would anticipate about three different test sections in
various locations throug:i the City.
We are proposing that the developer purchase the pipe as
usual, and that it be installed by the contractor in accordance
with manufacturer's recouunendations. The contractor would be
liaule for faulty installation, but the City would be responsible
for difficulties wit" the pipe itself.
Several thousand foot have been installed in Loveland. 'rile
pipe looks good and we would want to check actual installations.
Do you see any problems with this?
Respectfully submitted,

Dear Mr. Metz:
In regard to the installation of plastic sewer pipe, the
City Council has authorized the installation of pipe in certain
test locations.
You are, therefore, authorized to install Johns -Mansfield
sewer pipe for one manhole run in your development, Greenfield
Manor (not to exceed 400 feet), including a service line installa-
tion to the property line.
Installation practices must meet normal City standards. If
you have any questions or problems during installation, please
call.
Sincerely,
A +
