Ref.: The Force Sports Fields Planning Objectives
Dear City Review Staff,
We are pleased to submit this statement of planning objectives for The Force Sports Fields. The
following information was prepared in compliance with the Submittal Requirements for type I
Project Development Plan Review for commercial sites.
The Force Sports Fields are located on the east side of Automation Way just north of Lowe
Street. The property is currently zoned E-employment and is a detention basin. The zoning for
the property is to remain employment. We are changing the use of the property to include
outdoor recreation.
The total project is approximately 3.96 acres in size. A softball field with backstop will be placed
in the southwest comer and a soccer field will be placed on the east side of the property. A chain
link fence is proposed around the property to assist with keeping balls within the property. GK
Gymnastics children will also make use of the improved fields for daily recreation.
The landscaping will include street trees along Timberline and Automation Way. The existing
ground will be stripped to remove the weeds and a topsoil mix will be put back and the area will
either be seeded or sodded.
Parking will be in the existing Triple Crown Sports lot. There are 39 spaces that will be available
for use, as well as on street parking on Automation Way and GK Gymnastics will make available
their parking lot for events.
