Dear Mr. Newell,
Tn accordance with the City of Fort Collins request to extend a sanitary
sewer main across Horsetooth Road to the Collindale Golf Course, I propose
the following steps to be taken to achieve this goal along with our goal to
immedi,itely complete the street improvement to Horsetooth Road in accordance
with our development agreement for Collindale 85 P.U.D..
We will extend the sanitary sewer from our existing manhole next to the
Collindale Recreational Filing across Horsetooth as shown on the proposed
drawings. it is agreed that the cost of this extension will be shared as
follows:
1. Bartran Homes, Inc. will bear all the costs of design and
construction of the necessary sewer main and manholes to extend
the main to the southern point of their property which is
the north side of the Horsetooth right of way.
2.. The City of Fort Collins will pay only for that section of sewer
main in the right of way. The City will not share any costs of
manholes or engineering costs of design.
We are acquiring two bids on this work and will present them to you for approval
later this week.
Bartran Homes, Inc. accepts all responsibility for the main extension on
it's property and realizes changes may be required to facilitate future develop-
ment.

Any field adjustments in the flow line of the main in Horsetooth
necessitated by conflicts with other utility lines in Horsetooth will be
coordinated with city inspectors at the time of construction.
The expeditious consideration of our request for approval to construct
this sanitary sewer will permit the paving of Horsetooth Road without
any paving cuts in the future. The customers of Bartran Homes, the City
of Fort Collins and the citizens of Fort Collins will all benefit by
this cooperation. Thank you for your help.

Dear Mr. Herzig:
Bartran Homes, Inc. requests permission to re -construct the
curb and gutter on Horsetooth Road adjacent to the Collindale 87 PUD.
We realize the PUD has been approved but is waiting to be re-
corded until the two week period for appeals has passed. We accept
responsibility for any consequence doing this work prior to all docu-
ments being recorded.
This approval will enable us to complete all of the Horsetooth Road
improvements without any cuts or changes in the full depth asphalt
surfacing.

Dear Bill,
I received your request for permission to start the reconstruction o` curb
and gutter on Horsetooth Road adjacent to the Collindale '87 PUD, prior to
the end of the 2 week appeal period for the PUD approval.
Since you stated that you will accept responsibility for any consequences
of doing the work prior to all documents being recorded, (official
approval), we will allow you to proceed.
