Dear Basil:
This letter is regarding the storm drainage for the proposed Brueggers Fresh Bagel
Bakery, which is situate on a part of Lot 2, Campus West Shopping Center. Tlie site is at the
Northwest comer of West Elizabeth Street and South Shields Street intersection. The historic
site contained a convenience store and gasoline sales. T1ie area of the site after right-of-way was
taken for the Shields Street widening is 0.1929 acres. The historic impervious area is 7259 square
feet, and the developed impervious area will be 7304 square feet. The 45 square feet increase of
hard surfacing is 0.5% of the total area and is well within the allowable increase that does not
cause the need of detention. There will be no onsite storm water detention on this site.
T'he drainage pattern for the site will not change. The adjacent property to the North of
the site partially historically sheet flows across the site. That pattern will not change. The
parking lot for Brueggers Bakery will sheet flow from North to South and will discharge through
the driveway to the Elizabeth Street North gutter and then East 48 feet to an existing curb inlet.
7fie East half of the; building and the outdoor patio area will drain into fifteen 6-inch diameter area
inlets in the landscaping area and the storm water will be carried in a 4-inch diameter perforated
P.V.C. pipe to the existing curb inlet in Elizabeth Street.
The erosion control that will be provided is the foundation which will be constructed as
soon as the existing; building and existing pavement are demolished. Base material will be left or
replaced in part of the parking area to preclude erosion. A silt fence will be constructed along the
East and part of the South property lines. The erosion control calculations are included with this
letter. Also, the cost of erosion control is enclosed.

Bakery at the Northwest corner of West Elizabeth Street and South Shields Street.
1. Silt Fence 140 L.F. @ $2.00 $280
2. Reseeding 8404 S.F. @ $.0298 $250
The collateral will be the $1000 minimum fee.
