Meet all required timelines, including those for Subcommittee Meetings, Decision Memos, and Subcommittee Minutes. • Chair and/or Vice-Chair will regularly monitor the Citizen Review Board voicemail and e-mail and handle or forward any issues raised promptly and appropriately, as dictated by the nature of the communication. Recognize and pursue opportunities to liaise with other appropriate Boards and Commissions, such as the Human Relations Commission, as well as other community agencies whose purpose encompasses similar or parallel missions, such as Crime- Stoppers. Arrange and provide appropriate training modules for new and existing Board Members throughout the year. Identify, prioritize, and schedule training for any additional noted opportunities. o Required Core Training: • New Member Orientation (to include CRB legal environment/probable cause training) • Trainer: Chair/Vice-Chair, City Attorney staff; Internal Affairs if needed • Mock Subcommittee Training • Trainer: CRB member and City Attorney staff (if needed) • Use of Force/Decision Making/Defensive Tactics • Trainer: Defensive Tactics instructor(s) • Firearms/SWAT/Less Lethal • Trainer: Police Services staff chosen by Internal Affairs • Mental Health & Intellectual Disabilities Training • Trainer: Appropriate Organization o Additional Training Options (as time allows and dictated by need) • Use of Force Simulation • Trainer: Police Services staff • Tour of Larimer County Jail and Post Tour-Briefing • Trainer: Conducted by Larimer County Sheriff staff • Homeless Issues Update • Trainer: Police Services Staff • K-9 • Trainer: Police Services Staff • Ride Along (after hours) • Trainer: Police Services Staff • Community Outreach CITIZEN REVIEW BOARD 2020 Work Plan 2018 WORK PLAN Page 2 • Trainer: Police Services Staff and Community Organizations • Community Resource Officer Program • Trainer: Police Services Staff • Domestic Violence • Trainer: Police Services Staff Women’s Commission 2020 Work Plan and Meeting Schedule For the year 2020, the Fort Collins Women’s Commission will continue to focus its efforts on three key areas affecting women in Fort Collins: Safety, Health, and Economic Stability.The Commission is focused on becoming a stronger voice to the City Council and the community on behalf of the women of Fort Collins. 1. MEETING SCHEDULE Jan 15, Feb 19, March 18, April 15, May 20, June 17, July 15 Aug 19, Sept 16, Oct 21, Nov 18, & Dec 16 2. GOALS • Continue to align the work plan and monthly agendas with the city of Fort Collins’ seven key strategic outcomes. • Review and capitalize on the research available from existing sources to provide a picture of the status of women in the community, foster dialogue and create the forums and synergies necessary for problem solving. • Collaborate and network with local organizations and law enforcement to highlight issues such as domestic violence, sexual assault, homelessness, gender discrimination and poverty. • Bring to the attention of City Council and identify and utilize key events/media outlets in the community where the materials and messages of the Women’s Commission can be effectively communicated and leveraged. • Continue to develop and leverage relationships with other city of Fort Collins’ boards and commissions around issues that impact the key focus areas of the women’s commission, i.e. attend super meetings and collaboration meetings. Women’s Commission 2020 Work Plan and Meeting Schedule • Continue to develop and leverage relationships in the community, i.e. presentation of the Marcile N. Wood Award in conjunction with other community recognition events. • Focus and align women’s commission activities and work with the key outcome of community & neighborhood livability, especially as related to the women’s commission periodic review in 2019. • Spearhead and collaborate with other community and organizational entities to craft a recommendation to city council for the adoption of a CEDAW resolution. • Continue to vet the names of Fort Collins women for the city street naming project. 3. WORK PLAN GOAL 1: Continue to align the work plan and monthly agendas with the city of Fort Collins’ seven key strategic outcomes, with the key outcome of community & neighborhood livability.  Track the Council’s policy agenda and, in the Commission’s advisory role, provide information and appropriate comments to the City Council on issues of information gathered by the commission.  Infusing a strong focus on equity and an emphasis on the focus areas of the City of Fort Collins strategic objectives and plans. A focus on preparing comments, input, and reinforcement for policies that impact women related to the City’s six-month work session plans. GOAL 2: Review and capitalize on the research available from existing sources to provide a picture of the status of women in the community, foster dialogue and create the forums and synergies necessary for problem solving.  Identify and reach out to community experts and resources to inform the work of the Women’s Commission.  Host two educational panels on relevant topics including Attainable and Affordable Housing Women’s Commission 2020 Work Plan and Meeting Schedule GOAL 3: Bring to the attention of City Council and identify and utilize key events/media outlets in the community where the materials and messages of the Women’s Commission can be effectively communicated and leveraged.  Attend and present material at City Council meetings GOAL 4: Continue to develop and leverage relationships within the community and with other city of Fort Collins’ boards and commissions around issues that impact the key focus areas of the women’s commission,  Attend Super Issues meetings and collaboration meetings.  Presentation of the Marcile N. Wood Award in conjunction with other community recognition events  Maintain an inclusive process to vet the names of Fort Collins women for the city street naming project. Collaborate and network with local organizations and law enforcement to highlight issues such as domestic violence, sexual assault, homelessness, gender discrimination and poverty.  Host the Boards & Commissions Breakfast in May to discuss collaboration opportunities with other Boards and Commission members and Council. GOAL 5: Spearhead and collaborate with other community and organizational entities to craft a recommendation to city council for the adoption of a CEDAW resolution.
