At tonight’s work session, staff will be presenting the recommendations of the parking study that will include creating minimum standards for both commercial and residential development within the TOD. Staff has prepared a budget offer to update the Downtown Plan and one of the key reasons is to revisit the issue of height for commercial and residential development. ~~~~~ Staff time: 30 minutes Debra Unger Executive Administrative Assistant City Manager’s Office (970) 221-6266 Click here to Tell Me About My Service ... I Want to Know! From: Gerry Horak Sent: Sunday, April 20, 2014 4:58 AM To: CCSL Subject: Height and Parking Darin Given recent development trends along the Mason Corridor, I think we need to review building height regulations and parking requirements for commercial development. The recent Blue Ocean building opening and lack of additional parking spaces has placed the neighborhood at odds again with the commercial development. Also what is the appropriate height for commercial development along the Corridor to achieve the transit ridership desired and still have a Corridor that is pedestrian and view shed friendly? Gerry
