Please see the response below from Kurt Ravenschlag, Transfort General Manager, re: your inquiry about MAX cost /
level of service. I will include this information in the read-before packet for tonight’s meeting.

If MAX were to run on Sunday at 30 minute frequencies compared to 15 minutes you would have a $47,000 savings in
2014 and $70,000 savings in 2015. Roughly 65% of the expense to operate on Sunday comes from the support service of
dispatch, field coordination and Dial-A-Ride which would not be reduced by changes in MAX service frequency.
MAX Sunday Service – 30 Minute Frequency
2014: $225,000
2015: $274,000
If Council were to reduce the requested appropriation for MAX Sunday service to 30 minute frequencies, Council could
increase the frequency to 15 minutes on select Sundays to support special events for an additional $8,000 per day.
