Bottom Line This memo provides two updates to the work session materials pertaining to the January 10, 2023 City Council Work Session Agenda Item #3 Land Use Code Changes to Address Xeriscape for New Developments and Soil Amendment for New and Existing Developments. Update 1. The two questions asked in the “General Direction Sought and Specifics Questions to be Answered” section on page 1 of the Agenda Item Summary shall be updated to the following: A. What feedback does Council have regarding the four proposed opportunities? 1. Less turf in new development and redevelopment (three options) 2. Allow synthetic turf in some scenarios 3. Expand irrigation standards and residential equipment efficiency 4. Increase flexibility in soil amendment policy B. What additional information is needed? 2. On page 7 of the Agenda Item Summary, the table section titled “Opportunity 3. Additional irrigation standards and residential equipment efficiency,” item B. and items following associated with item B. of that section shall be struck. Information regarding a 2021 update to the Larimer County Urban Area Street Standards that prohibit parkways less than 8-foot width make the original proposal irrelevant.
