Meeting with County Commissioners Travis Storin and Sylvia Tatman-Burruss presented Council materials from the March 8th Work Session to Larimer County Commissioners on March 21st at a Commissioner Work Session. Commissioner Kefalas was not in attendance. Commissioner Stephens inquired about the interest of Councilmembers to pursue annexation of the enclave Commissioners Stephens and Shadduck-McNally expressed interest in preserving the agricultural-based businesses near I-25 and E Mulberry and expressed concern over increases in sales tax on eligible goods (note: agricultural goods are exempt from City Sales Tax) Commissioners Stephens and Shadduck-McNally expressed interest in discussing shared interests and expectations related to E Mulberry and the existing Intergovernmental Agreement regarding annexation Agenda for Joint Meeting with City Council and County Commissioners: April 13th Meeting begins at 5:30PM and will be conducted as a hybrid virtual/in-person meeting Facilitated by Josie Plaut from the Institute for the Built Environment, CSU Regional Air Quality is first agenda item Presentation from City and County staff providing high level overview and context; packet with additional information will be provided in advance (5-min) Group Discussion and Feedback (30 min): o What are your specific air quality interests and concerns? o What would you like more information about? Questions for Council and Commissioners (15 min): o Is there support for City and County staff to explore ways (e.g., formal agreements) to share resources related to air quality efforts (e.g., monitoring, inspections and compliance)? o Is there support for the City and County staff to work with other Larimer County municipalities, community groups and experts to form a regional “Air Quality Monitoring Advisory Committee”?
