RE: Update on 2020 International Town Gown Association Conference
Participate in Optimal Town College Assessment
Purpose:
The International Town Gown Association is hosting the annual City and University
Relations Conference June 1-3, 2020 at the University of Colorado Campus in Boulder.
Since the conference is local this year a local Colorado registration rate has been
offered to local attendees for $295. Please use this link for the local rate
https://co.clickandpledge.com/advanced/default.aspx?wid=159334.
Colorado State University is conducting a survey called the Optimal College Town
Assessment to understand the quality of the relationship between Colorado State
University and the larger Fort Collins Community. All campus and community members
are being invited to share their experiences and perception of the relationship. Link to
Survey: https://www.collegetownassessment.com/survey/colostate
Additional Information:
Colorado State University and the City of Fort Collins have a very strong town-gown
relationship and several representatives from both organizations will be attending the
conference including representation from Off-Campus Life, Student Resolution Center
and Fort Collins Police Services and Neighborhood Services at the City of Fort Collins.

The conference will surround the theme of “Partnerships in Action” and will focus on a
breadth of town-gown challenges and opportunities.
Sessions submitted by staff include:
o Fort Collins Police Services and Student Resolution Center’s partnership
focused on off-campus student conduct.
o Proactive Code education and outreach programs hosted in partnership
by Off-Campus Life and Neighborhood Services.
o CityWorksEDU curriculum overview.
o University and City Leadership Panel Discussion
o Optimal College Town Assessment results
On June 4th the City and CSU will host a post-conference event inviting
individuals from around the country to learn more about our town gown efforts.
The results of the Optimal College Town Assessment will be analyzed to identify what is
working well and what can be improved in the University and community relationship.
We are excited that this will also be one of the sessions at ITGA this year. This is an
excellent opportunity for you to provide feedback. Participants in this survey must be
associated with Colorado State University (students, faculty, and staff) or be a
community member of Fort Collins (non-profit employee, city employee or Fort Collins
resident).
All CSU students, faculty and staff who complete the survey should select
“Campus Representative/Employee.”
All Community members who complete the survey should select “Member of the
Community.”
This survey will take approximately 15 minutes to complete. Your answers are
completely confidential, and the data gathered will be released only as summaries.
