From: mineral seeker [mailto:mineralseeker@outlook.com] Sent: Thursday, June 29, 2017 2:18 PM To: Therese Jakobsson Subject: FW: A letter to each member of the Fort Collins City Council and Mayor Troxell Sent from my Windows Phone From: mineral seeker Sent: 6/ 29/ 2017 14:16 To: tjakobsson@fcgov Subject: A letter to each member of the Fort Collins City Council and Mayor Troxell Hi; The recent tragic murder of a young woman and mother of a 4 year old child (Ms. Hoffman) whose remains were found in City Park lake is a stark reminder that transients are not always law abiding and some coming to this community are individuals with a violent criminal record whose histories are not discovered until criminal acts are committed and their backgrounds are investigated. I strongly encourage the Fort Collins City council to institute stronger measures regarding the transient problem in Fort Collins . This council needs to adopt a "move on" policy for transients to protect this community and to prevent more tragedies from becoming a repeat pattern in our community. One violent criminal act and murder committed by a transient is too many. Its time this city finally puts it's foot down and takes action. As a husband and father of two daughters whom reside in this community, the murder of that young lady has brought me to the opinion that the safety and rights of the members of this community far outweigh the rights of transients with potentially violent criminal records to spend any time in this city. 3 Please accept the assurance of my sincere and respectful sentiments, Michael Anderson Sent from my Windows Phone
