The data comes directly from the CAD system and is reliant upon the words homeless or transient noted in the call, or as a TRAN (Transient Contact) call type. During this period, officers handled 145 transient/homeless related incidents. This translates to an average of 10 calls per day. This number is likely under-represented as there are many other incidents not classified as TRAN, or have the specific words homeless or transient noted in the call.
