HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - Mail Packet - 11/1/2016 - Colorado State University (Csu) Stadium Advisory Group (Sag) Minutes September 19, 2016Jennifer Lobermeier | Administrative Support for Stadium Advisory Group | 970-491-2359 | Jennifer.Lobermeier@colostate.edu Stadium Advisory Group September 19, 2016 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Lory Student Center, Room 386 Agenda:  Meeting called to order o Public Comment was provided by Linda Vrooman who discussed concerns of lack of available parking with the new non-CSU apartment construction on Lake Street (The Landmark and The Standard) as well as had questions regarding the Good Neighbor Fund. Additional written public comment was provided by Frank Johnson to Per Hogestad (SAG Member) of the creation of a neighborhood ambassador program to assist with parking issues/concerns.  Construction Update – Fred Haberecht, CSU Assistant Director of Facilities Management and Campus Planner, and Doug Wilson, Director and Project Field Manager, ICON Venue Group. o Stadium update: Pre-cast production will be completed by Oct. 1. Majority of superstructure will be completed by mid-October. West light towers installation will be completed in October. Pushing to get entire structure exterior weather-proofing completed by November. Permanent power and heat will be accessible within the next few weeks. Interior painting beginning on lower west levels. Planning underway on the new practice fields. Construction is on-time and on-budget. o Campus Construction update: Aggie Village finishing punch-list items. Whitcomb Sewer Line project is near completion with paving expected on Sept. 26-27. Chemistry building and Biology both on schedule. CSU Health and Medical Center putting up exterior panels, starting drywall inside. Occupants will move-in summer 2017. Prospect & Center underpass will be completed November 2017. Sidewalks on both sides of Prospect Rd. are open and side walk on west side of Center will open late October due to equipment staging. o Proposed Shields & Elizabeth Underpass: An Open House on Sept. 14 provided information to residents and businesses regarding the redesign, construction of the proposed underpass. A new design has been created which moved the underpass south of the intersection and minimizes conflict zones of pedestrian/bike/vehicle traffic. Feedback from participants was positive at the open house.  Conference call with Jan Morlock, Director of Community Relations for the Twin Cities Campus, University of Minnesota provided information about University of Minnesota game-day impact and mitigation, game-day operation successes and best practices, transportation and parking, noise and sound impacts of game-day and events, curfew hours, U. of MN Stadium Advisory Group meetings, and Good Neighbor Fund and grant program.  Discussion  Meeting adjournment – 7:10 p.m. Next Meeting:  October 17, 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Lory Student Center 376-378
