FYI. I am writing to provide you information that does not pertain to an agenda item, but which is
related.
Because the community does not have standing to participate in tonight’s appeal of the Building Review
Board’s decision, a group of us got together and prepared an application for a Fort Collins Non-
Consensual Landmark Designation for a local farmstead. The application seeks to designate the
farmstead as a local historic district.
While the code requires the application be submitted by 3 citizens who live in the city, 76 residents
signed the application over the weekend. The application was submitted to the City Clerk and forwarded
to pertinent staff this morning. With more time, we feel certain we could have considerably more
applicants.
We think this background information is important for you to know before tonight’s meeting.
