Meeting Notes
September 8, 2015, 4:00 p.m.

Present: Ross Cunniff, Councilmember; Ray Martinez, Councilmember; Gino
Campana, Councilmember; Carrie Daggett, City Attorney; Dan Weinheimer,
Legislative Policy Manager; Wendy Williams, Assistant City Manager
Absent: None
Guests: Kevin Jones, Chamber of Commerce
The meeting came to order at 4:02 pm.
Councilmember Martinez moved approval of the minutes from the August 11,
2015 meeting, Councilmember Cunniff seconded. Minutes were adopted without
amendment.
Dan reminded the LRC that all three state legislators would be attending the
September 22 LRC meeting to discuss bills and 2016 priorities.
LRC then discussed the 2016 legislative policy agenda – the goal of this
discussion was to review past policy agenda topics and determine areas to
enhance the upcoming 2016 Legislative Policy Agenda document.
The LRC sought to focus the September 22 meeting discussion with legislators on
both the legislators’ proposed bills and on some key topics for Fort Collins.
Discussion themes mentioned include:
Solutions to homelessness
Police body cameras and issues around body camera usage
Construction defects reform
Urban Renewal Authority (URA) clean-up and continued reform
The meeting was adjourned at 4:58 pm.
