BRINGING YOU CLOSER
2014 was a pivotal year for Transfort. In addition to the launch
of MAX bus rapid transit service, new technology helps dispatch,
operators and passengers track real time bus arrivals, plan trips more
efficiently and swiftly respond to challenges that arise in the field. We
also implemented route realignments to connect to MAX, increased
frequencies, extended service hours, expanded service in and around
Colorado State University (CSU), and made enhancements to the
RamCard pass program.
Transfort is committed to planning ahead and making improvements
that serve our customers now and in the future.

INNOVATIVE ROUTES
Transfort strives to provide the most productive routes to major
destinations throughout Fort Collins. Long-range planning and
collaboration with other City departments and agencies helps fulfill
this goal. In 2014, Transfort was able to secure funding for ongoing
FLEX regional service, begin bus rapid transit service with MAX and
create a new on-campus shuttle in partnership with Colorado State
University, Around the Horn.
TRAVEL TRAINING
With the launch of MAX and its easy-to-use ticketing system and
boarding, many more members of our community are riding
Transfort. Dedicated travel training staff host free public trainings
monthly to help teach people how to plan a transit trip, purchase
a fare or pass and build bus riding confidence. Groups may also
request presentations, classes and training.
GET ON BOARD! RIDER TOOLS
Transfort’s free Ride Transfort App and new mobile-friendly
website, ridetransfort.com, contains all the tools riders need
to have a stress-free ride.
Google Trip Planner helps plan transit trips, just like car trips.
BusTracker tool maps out where the buses are on the system.
Real-time bus arrival time info is available through email,
SMS texting and online.
Rider alerts are available online, through the App, or riders can

BIKES AND BUSES
Fort Collins and its hundreds of miles of bicycle lanes
and trails make it easy for anyone to bike to a Transfort
bus stop. In 2014, new conversations took place about
the role of bikes and bus trips with the addition of
MAX’s interior bike securement spaces and the public’s
demand for more. Following a robust public engagement
process, it was determined that no new bike securement
spaces were needed on MAX or Transfort buses rather
Transfort would focus on bicycle and bus trip education
and improve bike parking at stops.
The number one reason people want to bring their bikes
onboard is to extend the range of their trip — Transfort
is pursing secure bike shelters at stations and more bike
parking to better serve these user’s needs.
PLANNING FOR
THE FUTURE
Transfort collects ideas and sugges-
tions from the public to adapt routes,
adjust schedules and locate bus
stops in the best possible locations.
Our changing community requires
vigilant attention of what’s working
and what’s not to keep our cus-
tomers on the road and reach their
final destination.

2015 LOOK AHEAD
Looking ahead to 2015, Transfort is pleased to offer expanded Dial-A-Ride service through the
new Dial-A-Taxi voucher program and daily shuttles for Foothills Gateway customers. Transfort
will also be making changes in service around CSU to accommodate a growing student pop-
ulation and CSU's reduced on-campus parking. 2016 will bring new expansions in service to
Boulder's CU campus via Transfort's FLEX route.
Transfort continues to push the boundaries of community
expectations around transit service. Leveraging partnerships
and innovative funding resources, our city’s transit system
continues to be a nationally-recognized top-performing orga-
nization and is evolving to meet changing community needs.

PARATRANSIT SERVICE
Transfort accommodates all residents through various programs, services and vehicles. Dial-A-Ride is Transfort’s dedicated
paratransit service. Serving more than 1,500 residents, Dial-A-Ride is integral to disabled residents who need to get to
work, appointments and services. In 2015, a new taxi voucher program will provide even more flexibility and service hours.
