We are aware of how difficult it is to pare potential projects to fit within the projected revenue of BOB 2.0. The water savings for these projects are substantial and we feel the cost of $4.2 million is a great investment. The Golf Board’s highest priority for capital investment projects over the past few years has been to replace the irrigation systems at both Southridge and City Park Golf Courses. The irrigation system at Southridge Golf Course is 30 years old. Utilizing new technology and replacing the current irrigation system will save an estimated 7,000,000 gallons of water each year. At a cost of $2.2 million, we feel funding this project is money well spent. If we can fund the irrigation system replacement at Southridge with funds from BOB 2.0, we hope to replace the irrigation system at City Park Golf Course from our revenues in the near future. We also support the parks projects in this proposal. The water savings are substantial and trying to reduce our water consumption should remain a very high priority. Thank you for your support of Project CS3. Sincerely, Johnny Hodges, on behalf of the Golf Board
