In the Centennial State, A-B: Anheuser-Busch has been a strong contributor to Colorado’s economy for decades through the six facilities it owns and operates in the state, including the: • Fort Collins Brewery • Fort Collins Research Facility • Anheuser-Busch Sales of Denver • Nutri-Turf Operations in Weld County • Region 7 Sales office • Windsor Can Plant Located in the heart of Fort Collins since 1988, the brewery produces Budweiser and Bud Light, two of the world’s most popular beers. In Colorado alone, Anheuser-Busch and its wholesalers provide high quality beers to more than 10,000 retailers throughout Aspen, Boulder, Colorado Springs, Denver, Edgewater, Fort Collins, Loveland, Steamboat Springs, Superior and other areas. • Provides more than 1,000 jobs • Generates nearly $70 million in wages • Purchases approximately $27 million in local goods and services annually • Pays roughly $18 million annually in state, local and excise taxes • Represents a capital investment of more than $1 billion • Services more than 10,000 retail accounts throughout the state • Products make up more than 38% of the market share for beer • Sports Teams – Local sports team and venue sponsorships throughout the state total more than $3.4 million and include the: Denver Broncos Denver Nuggets Colorado Avalanche Pepsi Center • Entertainment – Provides approxi- mately $2.5 million in support of statewide entertainment venues such as Vail Resorts, Aspen and Steamboat. Anheuser-Busch has a long and proud tradition of social responsibility that focuses on three key areas – community outreach, alcohol responsibility and environmental stewardship. Community: • Since 1997, A-B and the Anheuser-Busch Foundation have contributed more than $490 million to charitable organizations. • Several Fort Collins brewery and American Eagle Distributing employees recently participated in a Habitat for Humanity home build and donated $100,000 to the local organization’s chapter. • A-B has partnered with the Hispanic Scholarship Fund for more than 30 years and has contributed more than $25 million to college scholarships for Latinos. To boost entrepreneurship, A-B has committed more than $250,000 to the Denver Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Alcohol Responsibility: • Anheuser-Busch Sales of Denver sponsors a safe cab ride home program in the Denver metro area around all holidays and special events. • A-B has donated over $500,000 to the Street Smart Military program, which takes participants into the real-life drama of first responders trying to save the lives of those who have made poor choices, such as drunk driving. More than 3,800 Colorado Air Force Academy students have witnessed these presentations. • A-B Sales of Denver activated the Good Sport program to encourage the use of designated drivers and responsible drinking decisions during local sporting events. Environment: • The Fort Collins Brewery reduced its water use by 15 percent in the last three years. • The brewery has a recycling rate of 99.8 percent and has reduced its fuel use by 33 percent in the past three years. • The Colorado Industrial Energy Challenge program awarded the brewery for its energy efficiency and environmental leadership in 2012. .
