As you know, City Council is scheduled to consider adoption of the resolution on Tuesday, August 19. Chair Cunniff made a motion that the Land Conservation and Stewardship Board recommend that Council place the Citizens' Initiative to Continue the City's Existing Natural Areas and Open Space Sales and Use Tax on the November 2025 ballot because continuing funding of acquisition, restoration, operations, and maintenance of Natural Areas in perpetuity is critical to preserve the habitat value of our Natural Areas portfolio and is necessary to maintain the character of Fort Collins. Member Culver seconded the motion. The motion was unanimously approved 8-0.
