Mayor Jeni Arndt, Mayor Pro Tem Emily Francis, City Attorney Carrie Daggett, City Manager Kelly
DiMartino, Deputy City Manager Tyler Marr, City Clerk Delynn Coldiron, and Senior Deputy City Clerk
Cecilia Good met virtually on Monday, November 12, 2024. The following summarizes the discussions
that began at 7:30 a.m.

Six-Month Calendar
Deputy City Manager Marr stated that the regular work session scheduled March 11 th conflicts with
the National League of Cities’ Congressional Cities Conference and that historically that week’s
meeting has been cancelled due to the large amount of Council interest. Staff will look at rescheduling
the current items and cancel this work session.
City Attorney Carrie Daggett
The City Attorney’s Office is working to fill vacant positions. A new attorney will be hired soon to
manage the Planning, Development and Transportation work.
The group discussed the materials provided to Council in read before packets. Mayor Arndt will be
meeting with staff this week to discuss simplifying the materials for the appeal process.

Deputy City Manager Tyler Marr
Staff met with CDOT last week regarding the design for the Mulberry/I25 interchange. The State has
funding for design of the project, and they would like feedback from elected officials as part of their
process. A community report presentation will be scheduled for January 28th for them to present to
Council.
City Manager Kelly DiMartino
City Manager DiMartino asked the group about the schedule for Leadership Planning Team meetings
in December. It was decided that the meeting on December 23rd would be cancelled.
City Manager DiMartino reminded the group that Nov 25th begins the change from warnings to tickets
in speeding corridors. Mayor Arndt expressed that the ticketing measure is to address public safety,
a priority for City Council.
The group discussed the upcoming rental registration requirements and how this change is being
communicated to residents. City Manager DiMartino explained that there will be pop up events and
there are resources on the website. Mayor Pro Tem Francis and Mayor Arndt expressed continued
desire for simplified communication, including the reasons for the change and how it benefits the
community.

Mayor Arndt updated the team on a bipartisan legislator orientation meeting held yesterday that she
was asked to speak at. Other speakers included Governor Polis and Governor Romer.
