RE: Neighborhood Night Out 2024
______________________________________________________________________
This year’s Neighborhood Night Out (“NNO”) is expanded from the traditional Tuesday night to
include events throughout the week from August 6 through Saturday, August 10, 2024. Poudre
Fire Authority and Police Services will visit Tuesday night events and other staff from
departments across the City will visit Saturday events. NNO events are planned and hosted by
neighborhoods and vary in size from 5-300 participants.
For this year’s NNO visits, Neighborhood Services has paired Councilmembers Gutowsky,
Ohlson, and Potyondy with staff teams and City vehicles for Saturday, August 10th as
requested. Mayor Arndt and Councilmember Canonico will accompany Police Services or PFA
on Tuesday night, which has been coordinated through Rupa Venkatesh in the City Manager’s
Office.
All Councilmembers will be provided with a link to the overview Google Map, spreadsheets of all
events in their Council District throughout the week, and details about their visitation route
including pick-up time and location (as applicable for staff visits) via email on Thursday, August
1st. Neighborhood Night Out event hosts have also requested visits from specific City
departments whose work aligns with their events and these departmental staff members will
visit as many as possible.
All registered neighborhood events received $25 gift cards to support event needs as a thank
you for hosting. These gift cards replaced the t-shirts hosts received prior to 2018.
Neighborhood mini-grants were also available again this year for NNO events. Use of the Block
Party Trailer was “awarded” to several Neighborhood Night Out events through a random
drawing. Thank you and please let Neighborhood Services know if you have any questions or
suggestions.
