Subject: Legislative Review Committee Update
The Legislative Review Committee (LRC) meets on May 14, 2024 and an agenda will be provided in
the May 9, 2024 packet.
The following are updates on changes since the April 23, 2024 meeting.
HB 1313 (Housing in Transit-Oriented Communities) passed out of the Senate Local Government
Committee. The Highway User Tax Fund (HUFT) and injunction language was removed. Discussion
remains on the density language.
HB 1341 (State Vehicle Idling Standard) has been sent to the Governor.
The following bills continue to move forward, some with on-going amendments:
HB 1107 (Judicial Review of Local Land Use Decision)
Hb 1152 (Accessory Dwelling Units)
Hb 1173 (Electric Vehicle Charging Systems Permits)
HB 1304 (Minimum Parking Requirements)
HB 1330 (Air Quality Permitting)
HB 1334 (Broadband Services for Multiunit Buildings)
HB 1434 (Expand Affordable Housing Tax Credit)
HB 1454 (Grace Period Noncompliance Digital Accessibility)
SB 106 (Right to Remedy Construction Defects)
It is anticipated that 2 large bills are yet to be introduced that are the culmination of work between the
Governor, legislators, and environmental groups that would involve ozone, transit funding, and oil & gas
production.
