SUBJECT: Metrics by Council District
The attached report provides an updated socioeconomic and demographic overview of Fort
Collins and each Council District. This follows an original report provided in September 2023.
The purpose of this report is to provide an understanding of the unique profile of Council
Districts, specifically how they compare to the demographic makeup of other districts and Fort
Collins as a whole. Metrics in the report include population size, income level, educational
attainment, rentership rates and poverty rates.
Data included in this report is sourced from the 2022 American Community Survey and 2020
Decennial Census. While there is more recent data available at the city level for many of the
metrics, there is not more recent reliable data available at the council district level. Updated
methodology has been used to produce more accurate district-level data in this report.
We hope this report will serve as a valuable tool for your deliberations and decision-making
processes when used in conjunction with more recent city-level estimates. Please let us know if
you have any questions or feedback.
