We believe this allowed for better communication with the Fort Collins community and helped guide the current revised Land Use Code that Council will be voting on. We would also like to recognize and thank Clay Frickey and his team for the hard work and countless hours involved in constructing a code that the Economic Advisory Board believes will help Fort Collins become an accessible city for a more diverse population. The revised Land Use Code and the potential code alternatives that will be presented to Council on October 3rd is the right direction for the city of Fort Collins. The flexibility for ADU’s, parking requirements and updated process for affordable housing development along with the overall streamlining and better predictability of the Land Use Code will strengthen housing options and availability for the community at large. The Economic Advisory Board appreciates and values the City Council’s interest in hearing feedback and comments from the civilian advisory boards that are foundational to citizen involvement.
