Box 580 Fort Collins, CO 80522-0580 MEMORANDUM DATE: February 7, 2022 TO: Mayor and City Council THRU: Kelly DiMartino, Interim City Manager Kyle Stannert, Deputy City Manager Affordable Housing Executive Team1 FROM: Noah Beals, Development Review Manager Meaghan Overton, Housing Manager RE: Updated Discussion Questions for Land Use Code Phase 1 Updates Work Session Purpose: In response to feedback received at the Leadership Planning Team (LPT) meeting on February 7, 2022, staff has revised the discussion questions for the Council Work Session on February 8, 2022. Summary: Discussion at the LPT meeting indicated that there is not enough information at this time to inform a full discussion of the complex tradeoffs and tensions involved in addressing the Diagnostic Report findings. Staff has revised the discussion questions accordingly. As part of the code drafting process following the work session on February 8, the project team intends to test and evaluate the expected impact(s) of potential code changes. A future work session prior to consideration of adoption for the Land Use Code (LUC) Phase 1 updates will provide an opportunity to discuss these potential impact(s), as well as the tradeoffs and tensions involved.
