Nolan Doesken, former State Climatologist has informed the Streets Department this storm is in the top 4 of Fort Collins histor Our very early preliminary snow removal and tree branch costs estimates follow: Snow removal on Arterials and Collector Streets $ 350,000.00 Residential snow removal $ 400,000.00 Downtown snow removal $ 32,000.00 City owned parking lots and Mason Trail $ 48,000.00 City owned sidewalks and bike lanes $ 400,000.00 Streets Department Tree and Limb Removal $ 250,000.00* Parks Department Tree and Limb Removal $ 1,267,000.00** $2,747,000.00 *This is a preliminary estimate that will depend on whether a determination is made that a severe impact has occurred in certain locations; criteria for this determination are in the Urban Forest Storm Response Plan. This estimate is based on a preliminary analysis and covers curbside branch pickup only. **$830,000 of this estimate will come from existing budget resources. This represents the full work crew in the field for the Forestry Division completing this work in nine months. All other 2 work, with the exception of Emerald Ash Borer response, will be suspended until the storm repair work is completed. Forestry metrics will not be met in 2021.
