RE: 3RD PARTY FOOD DELIVERY NOCO NOSH
This memorandum provides an update on the Restaurant Delivery Service program funded with Corona
Virus Relief Funds (CVRF).
BOTTOM-LINE:
The City invested $152,000 of CVRF funds to offset the cost of third-party food delivery for restaurants
between November 24, 2020 and December 30, 2020. The program significantly impacted the
restaurants delivery sales during this period setting several weekly records for number of deliveries and
total sales. Additionally, the program seems to have altered consumer behavior creating a lasting impact
for restaurants.
BACKGROUND:
This City of Fort Collins launched a program to assist local restaurants and incentivize community
members to support their favorite restaurants by partnering with NoCo Nosh. NoCo Nosh is a local
delivery service owned by over forty (40) northern Colorado restaurants. The program paid the
restaurant portion of the delivery fees, the customer processing fee, and the first $0.50 of the customer
delivery fee charged to Fort Collins community members.
The program significantly benefits Fort Collins restaurants:
As of February 5th, 32 restaurants added to the NoCo Nosh platform since program launch.
NoCo Nosh sales went from an average of $4,300/week to $5,700/week signifying a change in
consumer behavior since program launch.
Total amount of businesses who received free menu photo shoots through the partnership: 16.
94% of respondents said they would continue using NoCo Nosh after COVID:
