Adjourned Meeting — 6:00 PM

PRESENT: Weitkunat, Overbeck, Poppaw, Campana, Troxell, Cunniff, Horak
Staff present: Atteberry, Daggett, Nelson
• OTHER BUSINESS
Councilmember Campana discussed the English Ranch community garden issue and requested
support for additional time to allow mediation and compromise on the issue. City Manager
Atteberry stated the City will suspend removal of the garden indefinitely in order to possibly
reach a mutual resolution.
Mayor Pro Tem Horak suggested the mediator not be associated with the City.
• Executive Session Authorized.
Mayor Pro Tem Horak made a motion, seconded by Councilmember Poppaw, that Council go
into Executive Session as permitted under Section 2-31(a)(1)(a) of the City Code and Colorado
Revised Statutes Section 24-6-402(4)(f)(1) for the purposes of discussing personnel matters
related to the selection of the City Attorney.
Councilmember Cunniff stated he would support the motion but stated he would like to
reexamine the policy of Executive Session interviews for direct employees.
Mayor Pro Tem Horak noted City Manager interviews are already conducted publicly.
RESULT: ADOPTED [UNANIMOUS]
