MINUTES OF A CALLED MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS, held
Monday, May 6, 1963, at 11:15 o'clock A.M.
Present: Councilmen Johnson, Colwell, McMillan, Honstein and Councilwoman Quinn.
City Manager Norris, City Attorney March and City Engineer Weiss.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Johnson who made the following statement
The City Council recommended to the City Manager that two police officers
be given the opportunity to'resign from the police force. The City Council has previously,
taken no further action in this -regard. In view of the reports in the paper and on the
radio this special meeting has been called. The City Manager i.s being requested by the
Council to make a thorough investigation of the Police Department, and to make his report
and recommendation to the Council. Motion was made by Councilman Honstein, seconded by
Councilman McMillan, that the statement as made by the Mayor be approved. Roll was called
resulting as follows: Ayes: Councilmen Johnson, Colwell., McMillan, Honstein and Council-
woman Quinn. Nayes: None. The President declared the motion adopted.
Motion was made by Councilman Colwell, seconded.by Councilman Honstein, that the
Council adjourn. Roll was called resulting as follows: Ayes: Councilmen Johnson, Colwell
McMillan, Honstein and Councilwoman Quinn. Nayes: None. The President declaredt he
motion adopted, and the Council adjourned.
