Motion was made by Councilman Kissock, seconded by Councilman Lopez, that the reading of the minutes of the last regular meeting held May_15, 1969, be dispensed with. Roll was called resulting as follows: Ayes: Councilmen Carson, Lopez, Kissock and Kruchten. Absent: Councilman Troxell, excused. Nayes: None. The Mayor declared the motion adopted. Mr. Wayne Sundberg, Instructer at the Lincoln Jr. High School, was present with 27 students in the Civics Class, observing the procedure of the City Council. They were acknowledged and the Mayor thanked them for coming. An ordinance was presented extending the hours for serving liquor. Motion was made by Councilman Kissock, seconded by Councilman Kruchten, that this ordinance be adopted, but after discussion relating to the difference in the hours for serving Liquor and Malt Beverages, Councilman Kissock withdrew his motion and the ordinance was withdrawn until a later date. Kuppinger, Purchasing Agent Bids were opened on May 16, 1969, for the installation of the Edora Park Sprinkler System. ,tAttached, and also outlined below are the results of the bidding. "Bath Landscape & Sprinkler, Inc. $ LI.,744.00 Colorado Lawn Sprinkler Company 5,143.53 Northern Colorado Equipment Co. 5,350.50 Mr. H. R`. Phillips, Director of Parks and Recreation, was present at the bid opening and the results were satisfactory with him. The recommendation is that Bath Landscape and Sprinkler, Inc. be awarded the contract since their bid of $4.,744.00 is th6 low bid. Motion was made by Councilman Kruchten, seconded by Councilman Kissock, that the City Engineer proceed with the design and refer one through 5 to the City Manager and City Attorney for proper action.
